documentElement Error with hostServiceManagement.pl

Hi Everyone,

We are using hostServiceManagement.pl in the following ways:

~/bin/hostServiceManagement.pl --server $address --username $user --password $password --operation start --service TSM-SSH > /dev/null

~/bin/hostServiceManagement.pl --server $address --username $user --password $password --operation stop --service TSM-SSH > /dev/null

However, we get the same error when both commands are executed:

Can't call method "documentElement" on an undefined value at /usr/local/share/perl5/VMware/VICommon.pm line 2209.

Has anyone seen this error before?

We suspected that there was something with our vCLI client, so we uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but we still get the same error. We think that there is something wrong with the Perl packages we are using.
